What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text)
Activity on your own Shelf: favorites, reading progress, uploads, and external links you submit
Reviews and ratings you post, and feedback or copyright notices you submit
Basic technical data (IP address, browser type) for security purposes -- for example, limiting repeated failed login attempts

How we use it

To run your account and Shelf, show your reading progress and favorites, moderate uploads/links/reviews, respond to feedback and copyright notices, and keep the site secure. We don't sell your personal information.

Cookies & sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It's required for accounts to work and isn't used for advertising by us directly.

Third-party services

Pages on this site may load scripts from third-party services we use for analytics, search-engine verification, or advertising (for example, Google Analytics or AdSense, if enabled). Those services may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

Uploaded & linked content

Files you upload are scanned for malware before publication. We may or may not add your uploaded or externally linked ebooks to the wider catalog for other readers, as described in our About page.

Your choices

You can update your account details, remove your own uploads/links while pending, and delete your own reviews before they're approved, all from My Library. To request full account deletion, contact us via Feedback.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
