Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah
Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah (1908–2002) was a legendary international Islamic scholar, jurist, historian, and diplomat who is widely revered as one of the most extraordinarily prolific academics of the 20th century. Born in Hyderabad Deccan, British India, he achieved historic milestones by earning double doctorates: a D.Phil from the University of Bonn and a D.Litt from the Sorbonne in Paris. Following the annexation of Hyderabad in 1948, he chose a life of stateless exile in France, spending decades researching at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and teaching globally. Fluent in over twenty languages, Dr. Hamidullah authored more than 250 books and thousands of articles spanning Islamic international law, prophetic biography, and history—most notably his definitive French translation of the Quran (Le Coran) and his masterwork The Muslim Conduct of State. He was instrumental in discovering and editing ancient lost Islamic manuscripts and helped draft Pakistan's first constitutional objectives resolution. He passed away in Jacksonville, Florida, leaving an unparalleled legacy of objective academic research and global Islamic enlightenment.

ڈاکٹر محمد حمید اللہ (1908ء–2002ء) ایک شہرہ آفاق بین الاقوامی اسلامی اسکالر، قانون دان، مؤرخ اور سفارت کار تھے، جنہیں بیسویں صدی کے عظیم ترین اور کثیر التصانیف ماہرینِ تعلیم میں شمار کیا جاتا ہے۔ وہ حیدرآباد دکن میں پیدا ہوئے اور انہوں نے بیک وقت دو ڈاکٹریٹ ڈگریاں حاصل کر کے ایک تاریخی ریکارڈ قائم کیا؛ جن میں جرمنی کی بون یونیورسٹی سے ڈی فل اور پیرس کی سوربون یونیورسٹی سے ڈی لٹ شامل ہیں۔ 1948ء میں سقوطِ حیدرآباد کے بعد انہوں نے فرانس میں جلاوطنی کی زندگی کو ترجیح دی، جہاں انہوں نے فرانسیسی قومی مرکز برائے سائنسی تحقیق (CNRS) میں کئی دہائیاں تحقیقی کام کیا اور دنیا بھر میں تدریسی خدمات انجام دیں۔ بیس سے زائد زبانوں پر دسترس رکھنے والے ڈاکٹر حمید اللہ نے اسلامی بین الاقوامی قانون، سیرتِ نبوی اور تاریخ پر 250 سے زائد کتب اور ہزاروں مقالات لکھے—جن میں ان کا کیا گیا قرآن مجید کا مستند فرانسیسی ترجمہ اور ان کی شاہکار کتاب "The Muslim Conduct of State" (عہدِ نبوی میں نظامِ حکمرانی) نمایاں ہیں۔ انہوں نے کئی قدیم اور گمشدہ اسلامی قلمی نسخوں کو دریافت کر کے ان کی تدوین کی اور پاکستان کی پہلی قراردادِ مقاصد کا خاکہ تیار کرنے میں بھی مدد کی؛ وہ فلوریڈا میں وفات پا گئے لیکن ان کا علمی ورثہ آج بھی معروضی تحقیق کا ایک عظیم معیار مانا جاتا ہے۔
