Mohammad Shaikh (born October 6, 1952, in Karachi, Pakistan) is a prominent and highly articulate Pakistani Islamic preacher, public speaker, and Quran researcher who is best known as the founder and chairman of the International Islamic Propagation Center (IIPC). Growing up in Karachi, he pursued his education at Islamia College. Before dedicating his life to religious propagation, he served in the Military Police during the 1971 war and later worked as a second officer in the Merchant Navy. A major turning point in his life occurred on December 15, 1986, when he survived a life-threatening armed attack at his office, prompting him to vow to dedicate the remainder of his life to propagating the message of the Quran. In 1988, Mohammad Shaikh traveled to Durban, South Africa, where he received advanced training in comparative religion and Dawah under the tutelage of the world-renowned Muslim scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat. His preaching methodology is characterized by a distinctive topical compilation of Quranic verses, delivering over sixty structured lectures in both English and Urdu. He expanded his outreach globally through the establishment of IIPC Canada and the launch of the English-language satellite channel, IIPC TV. His global impact was widely acknowledged when he was voted the 4th most influential Muslim in a 2009 Reuters public poll and subsequently listed as a runner-up in *The 500 Most Influential Muslims* publication from 2010 to 2012.
