Maulana Zahid-ur-Rashidi (born Muhammad Abdul Matin Khan; 1948) is a highly respected Pakistani Islamic scholar, academic, journalist, and intellectual who stands as one of the most prominent contemporary voices of the Deobandi school of thought in South Asia. Born in Gakhar Mandi, Gujranwala, into an illustrious scholarly family—his father being the iconic traditionist Maulana Sarfraz Khan Safdar—he received an excellent traditional education at the Jamia Nusrat-ul-Uloom, specializing in Hadith and jurisprudence.

Maulana Rashidi is widely celebrated for his balanced, rational, and bridge-building approach to modern social, political, and constitutional issues. He serves as the founder and director of the Al-Sharia Academy in Gujranwala, an influential research think tank dedicated to analyzing contemporary Western philosophies and scientific developments through a classical Shariah framework.
