Dr. Israr Ahmed

Dr. Israr Ahmed (1932–2010) was a prominent and highly influential Pakistani Islamic theologian, medical doctor, and philosopher who founded the Tanzeem-e-Islami and became a household name across South Asia through his extensively broadcast Quranic lectures. Born in Hisar, Punjab, British India, he graduated with an M.B.B.S. from King Edward Medical College Lahore before earning a master's degree in Islamic Studies from Karachi University. Initially a prominent student leader within Jamaat-e-Islami, he resigned due to deep philosophical conflicts regarding political electoral participation, choosing instead to focus entirely on Quranic education and structural revivalism. In 1975, he established Tanzeem-e-Islami and launched the *Markazi Anjuman Khuddam-ul-Quran*, dedicating his life to establishing an ideological Islamic state based on the prophetic model (Khilafat). Dr. Israr authored over sixty books on Islamic thought, modern political systems, and spiritual philosophy, and was globally celebrated for his magnum opus televised commentary, Al-Huda. He passed away in Lahore, leaving behind a massive international network of Quranic study circles.

ڈاکٹر اسرار احمد (1932ء–2010ء) ایک ممتاز اور انتہائی بااثر پاکستانی ماہرِ الہیات، طبیب اور مفکر تھے، جنہوں نے "تنظیمِ اسلامی" کی بنیاد رکھی اور اپنے وسیع پیمانے پر نشر ہونے والے قرآنی دروس کے ذریعے برصغیر پاک و ہند کے ہر گھر میں شہرت پائی۔ وہ برطانوی ہند کے شہر حصار میں پیدا ہوئے، اور انہوں نے کنگ ایڈورڈ میڈیکل کالج لاہور سے ایم بی بی ایس کرنے کے بعد جامعہ کراچی سے اسلامیات میں ایم اے کی ڈگری حاصل کی۔ ابتدا میں وہ جماعتِ اسلامی کے ایک نمایاں طالب علم رہنما تھے، لیکن انتخابی سیاست میں حصہ لینے کے معاملے پر فکری اختلافات کے باعث الگ ہو گئے، اور انہوں نے اپنی تمام تر توجہ خالص قرآنی تعلیمات اور احیائے دین پر مرکوز کر دی۔ 1975ء میں انہوں نے تنظیمِ اسلامی اور مرکزی انجمن خدام القرآن کی بنیاد رکھی، اور خلافتِ راشدہ کے نمونے پر مبنی ایک نظریاتی اسلامی نظام کے قیام کے لیے جدوجہد کی۔ ڈاکٹر اسرار احمد نے اسلامی افکار، جدید سیاسی نظاموں اور روحانی فلسفے پر 60 سے زائد کتب تصنیف کیں، اور اپنے مشہورِ زمانہ ٹیلی ویژن پروگرام "الہدیٰ" (بیان القرآن) کی وجہ سے دنیا بھر میں سراہے گئے؛ وہ لاہور میں وفات پا گئے لیکن اپنے پیچھے قرآنی دروس کا ایک عالمی نیٹ ورک چھوڑ گئے۔
